The Silk Road
Goods were often traded between China, the Middle East, and Europe via the Silk Road. The Silk Road was a vast network of trade routes that traversed Asia from 1500 B.C. A.D. until 1500. Traders would travel the Silk Road routes on camels and in caravans. Ideas, art, and religious beliefs were also exchanged due to the contact between different cultures. (Cultural Diffusion)
As a class, we will read and annotate a passage about the Silk Road and how it contributed to the diffusion of goods, people, and culture across Eurasia. After reading complete the following:
