- Take notes as you watch the following videos about Shintoism and Buddhism in Japan.
- Use the information to design a section on your project poster to explain the two main religions of Japan.

Japanese Feudalism
- You will take on the role of a member of the Japanese feudal system. You will become either an emperor, shogun, daimyo, samurai, or a peasant.
- Read the first-person perspective that details your role in the system.
- Next, analyze your text from your character's perspective.
- Complete a short vocabulary section, a class pyramid that contains 9 different levels, and a group "act-it-out".
- "Act-it-Out"- in groups, create a skit that shows how the feudal system works.
- Take a sheet of construction paper from the table. Create a Social Pyramid of Feudal Japan. Include an illustration for each level.
- This pyramid will be placed on your Ancient Japan poster.
- Next, research the armor worn by the Samurai and the weapons they carried. Select a samurai, label the amor, and color in the images accurately.
