1. Get Started: At the TOP of ISN page 88, create a Islam KW Chart
- What do you already know about Islam?(use words or phrases)
- What would you want to learn about Islam?
2. ISN Check: pg. 74-84
- Have your ISN open to the Table of Content.
- Next, turn to page 74. Be ready when I call your name.

1. Get Started: Review the political cartoon on the fall of Rome.
- Discuss each cartoon and have the students to explain their comments from the Gallery Walk.
- Collect the graphic organizers
- Students will complete the Padlet on the website.

5. Islam Connections to Judaism & Christianity: ISN pg. 90
a. Muslims, Christians, and Jews trace ancestry back to Abraham
b. To Muslims, Allah is the same god that is worshipped in Christianity and Judaism
c. Qur’an is the word of Allah as revealed to Muhammad in the same way that Jews and Christians believe the Torah and the Gospels were revealed to Moses and the New Testament writers.
d. All three are “people of the book” due to their use of a holy book
e. Jerusalem is Holy City
f. Prayer occurs during religious service
g. Services held in Holy Building
