Detailed Agenda
1. Get Started: Finish working on your cave art
- Before drawing on the brown paper, brainstorm an image as you will be given one sheet to complete your final product.
- sketch out your image(s) in pencil first before adding color
- choose your subject matter carefully
- Then Draw and color your own cave art reflecting the lives you are living now that if an archaeologist found 20,000 years from now they will learn about how we lived in our time. Draw important aspects of life, including food, family, recreation, culture, schooling, architecture (i.e. buildings), etc.
- Create your own cave art masterpiece! Use the above websites as inspiration. What are YOU trying to communicate?
- After you finish, get prepared to present your art to the rest of the class, explain your art and how it is the key to finding out about your lives 20,000 years from now on my return.
2. Neolithic Age
- Access the powerpoint presentation (Weebly) - The Neolithic Age (New Stone Age) and read through.
- Take CN notes on what you have learned from the presentation on page 24 of your ISN. (Cornell Notes style)
3. Complete- Your challenge:
- You will be given a blank sheet of paper to create a scene of a Neolithic settlement.
- Include all elements of that environment. (based on the Google presentation.
- Be sure to write your name on the back and turn in your scene. This will be graded and displayed in the class.
4. Homework:
- Write a paragraph summary about the New Stone Age(Neolithic Era). At the bottom of your Cornell Notes on page 24.
- Also, Practice hunters and gatherers Quizlet vocabulary nightly.
